"Splish Splash"

We have had lots of fun at the Boise city pools
this summer. We got a family pool pass. The
kids have enjoyed themselves. We spent most
of our pool time at Ivy Wild. It's great, it has a
way fun kiddie pool with slides and fountains.
It was also the perfect depth for both of our kids.
It took Brogan quite a few times of going to the
pool before he became completely comfortable.
By the time the pool closed for the season, he was
acting like a fish and never wanted to get out.
Gavin is totally a water baby and was never afraid.
He just jumped right in from the very start.
I'm glad we decided to get a swim pass. It sure
helped keep us cool this summer and was really
great family times!

We decided to take the boys on their
first fishing trip of the season.

Brogan is all ready to catch a big one!

Uh-oh, that can't be good!

Hmm just pretend like I meant to
do that!

Aaaah, see it's all good!

Gavin is ready to catch his first fish
ever!

Just smile and no one will notice I
don't know what I am doing!

Oh oh I think I might have one!

False alarm!

They didn't catch any fish this trip,
but they sure had fun....especially getting
all wet!

4th of July

We had a pretty quiet 4th of July. We didn't do much until that evening.
Ann Morrison park's anniversary is the 4th of July, so they have quite a
celebration. They have activities going on throughout the day and then
they have a firework show that is pretty good. We went there for a
picnic and then just hung out until the fireworks. The kids played at the
playground and Brogan got cooled off in the fountain. Here are some
pictures of the boys being cheesey while waiting for the firewoks to start!

This is Brogan and his dance class at their dance
recital dress rehearsal. Yes, I know these pictures
are long over due! His recital was back in May!
Well, anyway here they are. He was so scared
to go up on stage that I didn't get any pictures
of him smiling, but he did the night of his recital!
There wasn't much rhyme or reason to the routine,
but it was sure cute to watch! good job Brogan!

Here is Brogan with his "Good Luck" balloons
and M&M's from mom and dad!

Yes, I'm Still Alive!

It's been a long time since I've blogged. It seems like summer life just gets crazy! I've been a MIA blogger and thought maybe I should get caught up a little or at least get started again. I don't know that things will get less busy once summer is over. Brogan will be starting Kindergarten this year and soon after he starts school the baby will be born, so we will see.

"Sun Fuzzies"

Sun Fuzzies.... For those of you who don't know what they are, my kids have informed me that they are the tiny dust particles you can see in a ray of sunlight. Hmmm, don't ya just love the names kids come up with for things. Brogan and Gavin have been very inquisittive about the Sun Fuzzies lately. I love that I can experience the world through their eyes. Things that I normally take for granted or even find annoying at times (dust), they find such joy and fascination in.

Happy Birthday Brogan!

Everyone please forgive me for all the pictures, but Brogan's daddy took a bunch of fun one's. Brogan decided he wanted an "Alien" birthday party. Aunt Tressie and I made the decorations for his party.

I did my best on his birthday cake. I couldn't find a cake mold anywhere. He thought his cake was great! Yea!

Birthday hugs after birthday spankin's

Birthday Gifts.....Ever since Brogan went swimming in his cousin's hot tub he has wanted "Wobble Gobbles" (water goggles). So when he opened these, he was so excited. He got two pair so he could share his wobble gobbles with his brother. He also got some other swimming gear. Now he's all set to spend the summer at the pool!

Yea Gum! Brogan's favorite! (sugarless is best)

I love how excited Brogan gets over the simplest things!

Brogan's first bike!

Blowing the candles out!

Finger lickin' good!

I can hardly believe my little Brogan has turned five years old. They really do grow so fast and change everyday! He is such a fun little boy with an outgoing personality! He is everyone's friend. He has a great imagination and is very creative! He brings joy to our lives. We love you Brogan and have enjoyed the five years we've had with you and can't wait to enjoy many more!
Happy Birthday!
